Our Artist

This past weekend we have been busy painting and getting our living room finished of. We have been doing a lot of renovations over the past year. Finally we are getting closer, although there are always more projects around the corner. The drywaller finally came last week to finish the last bit of sanding in our living room (7 months later).

John did such a great job with putting up the window sill and the casings around the windows. Our living room looks so good. Just as we were getting ready to sit down and watch Extreme Makeovers Home Edition, Tessa thought she would help us by coloring on our newly painted wall. She was so proud of herself. At that point I was so tired, it was kind of funny, but I certainly did not let her know that. The picture was taken today, cause I did not want her to think that I was happy about it. I guess I will be painting once again.

Our Little Gymnast

Vayda sure is enjoying Gymnastics. She is so happy to be jumping and swinging. She is enjoying the variety of things to do, from the bars to beam and having fun in the huge foam pit. She is doing a great job listening to the coach, especially when I don't stay to watch. There are only three kids in the class, so she gets a lot of attention. We are for sure signing her up in the New Year.

Woman to Woman Encouragement

Someone will always be smarter. Their house will be bigger.
They will drive a better car. Their children will do better in school. And their partners will fix more things around the house. So let it go and love you and your circumstances. Think about it. The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in heart. And the most highly favored woman on your job may be miserable at home. The richest woman you know - she's got the car, the house, the clothes - might be heartbreakingly lonely. So, love you. Love who you are right now. Tell yourself, "I am too blessed to be stressed."

"To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might be the world."

I received this from my good friend Melanie. I sure enjoyed reading this.

Our Beautiful Girls

A few weeks ago we went to Sun-Oka beach and played around in the leaves. I guess it was also a perfect photo shoot. By the time we were ready to go the girls were so tired of being models. Tessa sure likes trying to run away from me. They actually got wet and had such a great time playing in the sand. It sure is nice to have their cousins back in the Okanagan. They sure get along and enjoy each others company.

Girls Day Shopping

Sunday I actually got to go shopping with my friends - no kids. It was so relaxing, eventhough the Mall was a zoo. I love my girls but it sure is nice to have some adult conversation, and to try clothes on. Although no could really find anything. My girls spent the day with John, they had such a great day. (Although John wasn't feeling so great - cold) It sure was nice to come home and spent our Sunday night together as a family. We always watch Funniest Home Videos and Extreme Home Makeover Home Edition. Vayda gets to stay up with John and I and have some time without Tessa, which makes her feel very special. Another weekend done another week starting I can't believe how fast the time is going.

Halloween

I know it is a month late, but I just love the pics of my girls in their costumes. I am new at this Blog thing, and I am very excited. This year Vayda decided to be a black cat. She was so excited. She looks way too good in black (hopefully she won't clue into that). Tessa had a blast being Pooh. She said "I pooh" the whole time she was wearing the costume. We all had so much fun. Tessa was thrilled to receive candy (nandy, is what she calls it). Vayda has already planned on what she wants to be for next year, a pig.
