just another day in paradise (lol)

Well, we have had such a great weekend with parents. It sure was nice to see them, and to see how happy our girls were. We sure miss everyone. It is hard being in a place where you know no one. At least this weekend my friend Jen moves here. Yeah!!

Well winter has arrived, we received over 2 feet of snow in the past week. It sure looks beautiful cause the sun came out today. They are expecting another 70cm of snow within the next couple of weeks. Yeah for us. Not only has the snow arrived, but my husband is gone to camp. We moved up here to be together more, cause the work is up here. It was harder living in Summerland than here, cause I know he is only 2.5 hours away, not 15 hours away from home. This job should only be a week or so. Before I know it he will be home, and then on his way again. Ontop of that our girls are both sick. It sure sucks having to take care of them by myself when they are ill, cause they want and need their daddy, and so do I. Well, I feel a little better now. Hope everyone has a great day.

I hope your girls get better soon and hubby is home fast. It's nice that you have a friend moving up there and it will make it much better. You need a snow mobile!!!

I'm sorry they are sick but I'm sure you are doing a great job taking care of them. If they will eat a spoon of honey then that really helps immunity and seems to heal just about everything kind of (my friend had a deep sliver in her foot and the Dr told her to put honey on it and cover it with a band aid and sure enough the honey got it out when even the Dr couldn't!!!!)

I used to quite like being sick, I would get my quilt on the couch, my choice of movies, anything I wanted to eat (usually chicken soup and lemon meringue pie) and for some reason my family seem to think the cure for a sore throat is an ice lolly (popsicle) and jelly (jelo) with sugar sprinkled on top. It was only a year or two ago I realised this wasn't normal and these things had no medicinal value.

love to you all!

Sounds like our life when we moved to Alberta. The day after we got there, Ed was gone for 2 weeks and we had moved to be altogether. This too shall pass. Your parents had good weather on the way home so that was good news. It is warm here and we want a little snow so it can feel like Christmas!

Your mom stopped by tonight- Thanks for the video!! They are watching it right now. Aidan will call tomorrow. He was so excited. As they started it, I heard him say to Aliah, "I cant believe it!! I am a lucky boy".

I'm sorry to hear that your kids are sick. It's never fun to have them feeling like that (whether you're dealing with it alone or with John). I tried calling yesterday but it was busy a couple times. Wierd, hey? I'll try you again today. Hugs to YOU and the kids!
