Skating
We have been going skating. The Taylor skating arena is awesome. There is a kids rink and a big rink. There is also a mini play area for the kids. It is such a great set up. Vayda is doing great at skating. She just started and she is really enjoying it. We signed her up for the Skating Club and so she goes 2 days a week. Yesterday was her first time, and she loved it. There are a couple of girls in the club who are in her class, which makes her really happy. She is home today, so we are going back to Taylor to go skating and then we get to go to the Gymnastics drop-in for Tessa this afternoon. SHould be another great day. Hope everyone has a good one too.

We've skated at this rink and you're right -- it is great. I loved that it had that small area for all the little kids and those who aren't great skaters. That is precicely where I skated.. cause.. to my amazement -- I SUCK as a skater. Who knew???

As far as skating, I can beat JEnny by saying that I SUCK ROYALLY. I used to figure skate as a kid and now I can't stand on the things. It's not like riding a bike. I hope Vayda sticks with it!

Sounds like fun...we drove past your place the other day and Rachel was wondering where Vayda was?!! After I explained it she said, "Just like Megan and Kayla's dad had to work in Vancouver." Then after pondering for a moment, she said, "I hope Daddy never gets a job somewhere else." They are so sweet. Glad to hear you are settling in...that rink looks amazing!! Much better than the one here in Summerland...I am now spending at least three hours a week there...ah to be a hockey mom!!
Avery would love to have a skating rink with all day drop in skating!
Your girls are adorable! That rink does look like a lot of fun as long as I don't have to be on it. Not so good with the skates. Guess I should learn.
looks like lots of fun, Vayda is going to have to teach me how, I would love to. When I was younger I broke my leg ice skating and then I didn't have the confidence to learn anymore so it would be kind of fun to try and learn to skate or ice skate again now. Glad to see you and the girls are full into the swing of things up there!!!
